I feel honored to be here ,giving me speech to you. Today my topic is “ the pursuit of dreams “
I would like to begin my speech with a short poem , entitled Dreams.Hold fast to dreams ,for if dreams die ,life is a broken-winged bird that can not fly ;hold fast to dreams ,for when dreams go ,life is a barren field ,frozen with snow.In this poem ,to some extent ,we can know the importance of dreams.

in a sense we've e to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has e back marked "insufficient funds."
